Pensions in the EU - the new law and what it entails

Both in Malta and the rest of Europe, it is a fact universally acknowledged the proportion of older people will increase much faster than the population of younger, wage-earning taxpayers.

The fear is that the costs of caring for such a large number of pensioners will overwhelm the future budgets for pensions and health care.

Qawra marine aquarium project

Minister for Tourism Michael Refalo yesterday addressed the media on the second phase of the Marine Aquarium Project. The Planning Authority has extended the original concept and included the project within a larger development brief encompassing a more extensive stretch of land at Qawra.
