HSBC extends home loan offer

HSBC announced yesterday that its special offer on all new home loans up to Lm35,000 has been extended till 30 June 2002.

New HSBC home loans customers will continue to benefit from the lowest home loan rates ever with a discounted variable rate of just 4.75 per cent per annum on the first Lm25,000 of their loan. This rate applies for the first two years of the loan whilst the rate will revert to 5.25 per cent per annum on the first Lm25,000 in the third year.

HSBC has also reduced the interest rate on home loans which range between Lm35,000 and Lm65,000. A variable rate of 5.65 per cent now applies. The interest rate for home loans exceeding Lm65,000 has remained 5.5 per cent.

HSBC also announced that these variable interest rates on higher value home loans are now also available for the purchase of summer and secondary residences.

Through further reductions in interest rates, including those for secondary residences, HSBC Home Loans customers will be saving a substantial amount in interest payments."
