Lobbying campaign enters new phase

The pro and anti EU lobbies will enter into a different stage of campaigning tomorrow evening when the series of political broadcasts organised by the Broadcasting Authority about the future relations between Malta and the EU, kicks off with a discussion on ‘property’.

The series of discussion programmes, which has been snubbed by the Labour Party, will bring together representatives of the political parties, the IVA movement and the Campaign for National Independence as well as representatives of civil society with an interest in the subject.

Tomorrow’s programme will see Jason Azzopardi for the Nationalist Party, Harry Vassallo for The Green Party, Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici for the CNI and Joanna Drake for IVA.
In a statement the BA said that the MLP has decided not to participate in the series, while the Association of Estate Agents, which was invited for tomorrow’s discussion replied that it was unable to do so due to other commitments.
