Bullet-proof doors at Bank of Valletta

Bank of Valletta announced that it has introduced bulletproof doors at its Qormi outlet. The Bank said it had always given serious consideration to physical security as it considers risk control to be a continuous process.

The double doors have been specifically designed in accordance with the Bank’s particular requirements and specifications. BOV announced that it is investing heavily in this area and similar protective doors are being installed in all the other outlets of the Bank.

Speaking about this important development, Mr. John Soler, Executive Head Administration of Bank of Valletta stated that "BOV continuously monitors physical security at the Bank and takes a proactive approach to control risk. The installation of these new protective doors is a clear indication of this. BOV wants its employees and customers to feel secure and protected when inside the Bank and at the same time it wants to project a comfortable environment that is in line with its strategic direction of Relationship Banking. This objective has been achieved."

BOV invests heavily in physical security. Initiatives undertaken over the past years include the installation of CCTV systems and the most recent being the introduction of time delay locks on its safes and vaults.
