MAWB announces Woman Entrepreneurs of the World Award

The Malta Association of Women in Business has announced that in 2003 it will participate in Les Femmes Chefs D’Entreprises Mondiales awards. The national president of Malta, Ms Galea, will select the leading candidates in each of the following two categories. The nomination forms of each national finalist will then be submitted to the FCEM world president, who will, together with an independent judging committee, select potential award recipients. The award nominations will be expected to attend the 51 FCEM world congress.

The award categories are as follows:

Lifetime Achievements (The Global Player)

The recipient will have owned her business for at least ten years and will be actively involved in the running of her company. Her success has provided a beacon for others to follow. She must be a ‘Women doing business worldwide.’ This award is a salute to Woman Entrepreneurs

Most Original New Business (Successful Small – Business)

The recipient will have been in business for at least three years, but less than five. Her venture provides a product or service, or marketing strategy that is innovative and supported by a solid plan for growth, which has increased sales by developing global markets of its products and services.
