New Lm6 million investment by Hilton Malta

New conference centre to open in March 2003

The Hilton Malta’s new conference centre will open in March 2003 with an initial investment of Lm6 million and is set to become a first-class venue for prestigious meetings and events. The new conference centre will be located adjacent to the Hilton Malta, with direct internal access from the hotel’s lobby. Centrally located in the Portomaso complex, the centre is to provides the ideal opportunity to mix business and leisure.

Speaking yesterday to The Malta Financial and Business Times, Marketing and Rooms Service Executive Joanne Fenech and Conference Centres Sales Manager Caroline Borg said that the state-of-the-art conference centre will be able to take up to 1,400 delegates in the main Grand Masters Suite. This Suite is complete with a stage that can be dismantled in no time, providing space for the larger banqueting requirements. The versatile Spinola Suite provides extensive exhibition space making this also ideal for various functions. The breakout rooms on all levels are well connected with lifts and escalators.

A boardroom, a fully equipped business centre and office space manned by friendly and fully trained staff, will guarantee an efficient service in comfortable and stylish surroundings, for both the event organisers as well as catering to the individuals’ needs.

Complete with a fully equipped kitchen, the centre guarantees to provide for all catering requirements, be it a simple coffee break to the more elaborate banquets. Professional lighting and other audio-visual facilities makes this centre ideal for various stage productions and events.
