HSBC expands Middle East network

The HSBC Group has opened a new branch in Kuwait City which will be primarily geared towards business customers who are based in the Emirate or who conduct business there. Maltese companies and businessmen who trade with Kuwait will also be able to make use of the facilities available at this new branch through HSBC Bank in Malta.
HSBC in Kuwait provides corporate lending and deposit facilities, Treasury and Capital Markets, Trade Services and Payments and Cash Management capabilities, Securities Custodial Services, Private Banking and HSBC Offshore International services. In addition a full range of investment banking products will be available through a dedicated resource in the branch.
“HSBC’s Maltese business customers have always appreciated the international service which only an organisation like HSBC can offer. The Middle East is currently experiencing good economic growth and offers a number of opportunities for Maltese businessmen which HSBC aims to help with through our branch network,” said HSBC Bank Malta’s Chief Executive, Shaun Wallis.
