Flexibility and diversification drive Lifelink bonds

Bank of Valletta has announced a new promotion linked to its Lifelink Investment Bond, the Lifelink Single Premium Plan and all BOV Lifelink policies proposed up till the 28 February 2006 with a minimum annualised premium of Lm300. This takes the form of a limited offer whereby customers taking out such life assurance policies will be getting added value in the form of a Lm20 Eurosport Voucher that can be redeemed at any Eurosport retail outlet. This is a limited offer and open until stocks last.
The BOV Lifelink Investment Bond, which is issued and underwritten by Middlesea Valletta Life, is a unique product that brings together currency diversification, capital growth, optional capital protection as well as an element of life cover.
One of the main features offering added value to customers opting to invest in a BOV Lifelink Investment Bond is currency diversification. Customers may choose to take out a BOV Lifelink Investment Bond either in Maltese Lira, in Euro, in Sterling, or in US Dollars. Since this lump-sum investment is unit-linked, customers may choose to link their investment to a selection of Equity Funds, Fixed Interest Asset Funds, Balanced and Target funds or Money Market funds.
The BOV Lifelink Investment Bond offers investors the possibility to choose from a wide range of funds managed by the local expertise of Valletta Fund Management and/or by Fidelity Investments, the world’s largest independent fund management. Depending on the amount invested, investors may link their BOV Lifelink Investment Bond to a maximum of 5 or 10 funds.
When commenting about this product, Mario Grima, BOV’s Executive Head responsible for Bancassurance operations, said, “’The BOV Lifelink Investment Bond supports Bank of Valletta’s commitment to respond to the ever-changing needs of its customers. The flexibility of this product gives our customers the opportunity to benefit simultaneously from diversification in terms of currency and fund choice, capital growth, optional capital protection and an element of free Life Assurance cover. Additionally all customers who start a new BOV Lifelink Investment Bond by the end of February 2006, will now also benefit from a Lm20 Eurosport Voucher that we are offering, thus linking the values and benefits of life assurance to the importance of a healthy lifestyle”, concluded Grima.
