Park and Ride service to be extended to other parts of Valletta

Following the overwhelming success of the free park and ride shuttle service between Hornsworks and Corwnworks Ditch in Floriana and Valletta, the Malta Transport Authority (ADT) announced that with effect from today, an additional free minibus service will be provided on a half hourly basis.
On weekdays the new service will run between 0930 hrs to 1600 hrs and 1800 hrs to 2000hrs between Mondays and Fridays and on Saturdays between 0930 hrs and 1300hrs. The additional service will run along the following two routes:
On Route A mini vans displaying a blue sign will operate from Park and Ride via Old Bakery Street, Republic Street, St. Elmo. On Route B mini vans displaying a red sign will operate from Park and Ride via St. Paul Street, St. Christopher Street and Victoria Gate.
Passenger stops along these routes will be on demand. Patrons will be requested to indicate to the driver where they wish to alight whilst those wishing to board the park and ride minibus should hail the driver to stop.
Apart from the Park and Ride site in Hornworks and Crownworks Ditch, these new minibus shuttle services will only stop to board and alight patrons in Valletta along the established routes.
The present standard service between the Park and Ride site and Freedom Square will remain unchanged.
Operating hours are between 0600hrs and 0100hrs. Maximum waiting time at peak hours is between 4 to 5 minutes, while at other times maximum waiting time does not exceed 10 minutes.
