MACM Director General addresses Belgian Credit Managers

Josef Busuttil, Director General of the Malta Association of Credit Management, recently delivered a presentation to the Belgian credit managers in Antwerp.
His presentation focused on the international credit crunch and its effect on the Mediterranean region with emphasis on Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Malta. He also enlightened the delegates with innovative credit management strategies that would help creditors to differentiate themselves from the competition and to build long-term customer relationship in order to secure sound cash flow and ensure long-term profit.
This congress was organised by IvKM – Instituut voor Kredietmanagement of Belgium, at the University of Antwerp. Other speakers were Ivan Van De Cloot - chief economist, Itinera Institute; Raphaël Cecchi - Risk Analyst, Delcredere; and Prof. Deva Rangarajan – University Professor, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.
Topics discussed during the Belgian congress included The World Credit Crises from an economic aspect; Country risk assessment; The effect of the Credit Crunch; and the importance of synergy between the sales and the credit functions.
The Malta Association of Credit Management (MACM) is a not-for-profit organisation, providing a central national organisation for the promotion and protection of all credit interest pertaining to Maltese businesses.
MACM represents the credit profession across all economic sectors. It is a centre of expertise for all matters relating to credit management in Malta. MACM offers a range of services to the local creditors, including, credit management information systems, credit management education, training, conferences, seminars, and lobbying activities. It is the ICM (UK) accredited Training Centre for Malta. MACM is a member of the Federation of European Credit Management Associations – FECMA.
MACM is the distributor of Graydon International Credit Reports in Malta.
