BOV to host EU funding seminar on agriculture

EU funding opportunities for the agricultural sector arising from the National Rural Development Plan for Malta is being discusses in a seminar being held at Bank of Valletta’s Head Office in Santa Venera on Friday 20 November.
George Pullicino, Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs will be addressing opportunities for funding through the Rural Development Plan. Specialists in the sector will be discussing Rural Development measures 111, 124, 132, 133 and 142 which deal with training in the agricultural sector, the development of technology for farmers, quality of product schemes and the setting up of producers’ associations.
Peter James Sant, Senior Manager EU and SME Affairs will present financing and co-financing opportunities through Bank of Valletta while Dr Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and Information will bring the seminar to a close following an open discussion.
