Eie signs agreement with the New York Film Academy

The portfolio of universities and institutes at the European Institute of Education (eie) has continued to grow. eie has just clinched a deal to represent the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Malta. Through this agreement, the eie Study Abroad unit will be able to enroll Maltese students on the NYFA programmes.
The New York Film Academy is considered one of the most prominent fixtures of film education in the world. It was designed for a new generation of filmmakers, screenwriters, actors, producers and animators who share a passion for motion pictures and want to learn by making their own projects in a hands-on, intensive program. Its goal is to give students the basic tools and practical hands-on experience needed for filmmaking. The students themselves will apply what they have learned to whichever path they take.
The courses at NYFA are intended for professionals and beginners alike, provided they have the will to learn and the drive to mix with the best in the industry. At NYFA students can learn all aspects of film-making: from operating a camera, to lighting a scene, or editing a film.
Programmes offered by NYFA share a philosophy that balances in-class instruction by award-winning film-makers with an intense exploration of the medium through practical, hands-on work. This requires each student to make a series of short films. They get to write, produce, direct, and edit each film.
The Film School at the New York Film Academy was founded in 1992 with the belief that a top quality education in film-making should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films.
NYFA is recognized as a college in California and offers degrees on its Los Angeles campus. It is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) which is the only accredited body for visual art programmes recognised by the United States.
The European Institute of Education is licensed by the Ministry of Education to provide further and higher education. Apart from tuition and distance-learning programmes with qualifications awarded by top-ranking universities, eie’s Study Abroad Unit represents reputable universities and institutes like the Cranfield University School of Management, the University of Essex and Sheffield Hallam University.
